A graduate in Economics. Started learning music at the age of ten under the able guidance of veteran musician Sri. Mangad K Natesan. Passed 'Ganabhooshanam' with first class. So many first prizes to her credit for classical music and light music as well.

Won the first prize in Sanskrit recitation and classical music in state school youth festival in the year 1984 and 1986 respectively.

Won the first prize in light music and classical music in Calicut University Youth Festival in the year 1987 and 1989 respectively.

Won the first prize in patriotic song competition held by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting., directorate of field publicity in the year 1987.

The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy selected her as a professional performing artiste in the year 2001.

She had been composing songs in the college funcions for different occassions in St.Mary's College, Thrissur during her college studies. She had also given a concert through Asianet TV channel during Navarathri music festival and had been giving performance in All India Radio, Thrissur.
